Is My Boudoir Session Private? How Confidentiality Actually Works
Yes. Your session is private, your images are never published without your explicit permission, and you can have every file deleted whenever you ask. That is the short answer. The longer answer is worth reading, because "we respect your privacy" is easy to say and harder to specify.
Who Actually Sees Your Images
The only people who can view your images are the ones who genuinely need to for your session: your photographer, videographer, and editor. Your name, contact information, booking details, session themes, images, and any communication with the studio are all treated as confidential business information. Client data is never sold or shared.
Nothing Is Published Without Your Permission
Your photographs, videos, testimonials, and any identifying information will never appear on this website, on social media, in printed marketing, in advertising, or in a public portfolio without your explicit permission.
That permission is a separate decision from booking, and it is genuinely optional. Saying no changes nothing about your session, your pricing, or how much care goes into your images. Plenty of clients decline, and it is never treated as unusual.
Closed Set Means Closed Set
Only the personnel reasonably necessary for your session are present, unless you request otherwise. There are no observers, no drop-ins, and nobody in the room without a working reason to be there. Every team member present is held to the same privacy standard as the studio itself.
For the Group Experience, where more people are involved by definition, confidentiality agreements are required and enforced for everyone participating. What happens between the people in your group stays there.
How Your Files Are Stored, and For How Long
Files are held in password-protected systems with encrypted storage and routine backups. If a security incident ever affected your files, you would be notified within 72 hours.
Retention is your call. Ishtar's Image keeps your files until you ask for them to be deleted, or until a reasonable retention period ends if no other arrangement is made. When you ask for deletion, files are permanently removed within 30 days and the deletion is confirmed back to you in writing. You do not need to give a reason.
Where the Honest Limits Are
Any studio promising absolute, unconditional secrecy is overselling, so here are the two real boundaries.
The first is legal. Information may be disclosed if required by a court order, a valid subpoena, or another legal obligation, and you would receive notice wherever the law permits it. This is true of every photography business in Texas, whether or not they mention it.
The second is on your side. Once your private gallery password and download links are sent to you, keeping them safe becomes your responsibility. The studio can control who has access on our end, but it cannot control a shared password, a synced cloud folder, or a phone someone else can unlock. If discretion at home matters to you, it is worth thinking about where your files live once they reach you.
Your Comfort Level Is Agreed Before You Arrive
Privacy is not only about where images end up. It is also about what happens in the room. The comfort level you choose is discussed and agreed in advance of every session, and you can adjust it at any point during your shoot without explaining yourself. Nothing is assumed, and nothing proceeds past what you have agreed to.
