Alternative Goth: Red Velvet, Black Lace, and a Room Built for Drama

Alternative Goth is a love letter to drama. Every surface in this gallery is draped in red, from floor-length velvet curtains to pools of satin and a velvet-covered bed, and against all of it stands black: a sheer lace robe, a lace bodysuit, thigh-high stockings, and bold black lipstick.
The Palette Came First
Some concepts begin with a pose or an outfit. This one begins with color. During the interview and intake process, the team asks clients what colors, textures, and moods they are drawn to, and sometimes a single answer like "red and black" becomes the backbone of an entire session. Once the palette is set, everything else, from wardrobe to props to lighting, follows it.
Setting the Scene
The session uses two distinct sets. The first is almost theatrical: a carved Victorian chair on a sea of red satin, framed by velvet drapes. The second feels more lived in, with exposed brick, slatted blinds, a vase of red roses, candlelight, and crystal decanters. Two moods, one story.
Posing With Attitude
Alternative Goth is not shy. A finger raised to the lips, a hand reaching toward the lens, a slow look over the shoulder. The posing direction is built to match the confidence of the concept, and every pose is coached, so even first-timers can own the room.
Tattoos Belong in the Frame
Tattoos are part of the art in this gallery, not an afterthought. Posing and lighting can be planned to show off the pieces you love most, the same way the team plans around anything a client is proud of and wants to see celebrated.
Make It Yours
Maybe your palette is emerald and gold, or all white, or something no one has tried yet. Bring it to your consultation, and the team will design the set, wardrobe, and direction around it.
